By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Service.

By creating an Account or logging into the platform at www.citizenremote.com, you agree that your use of the Account and all related features is governed by these Terms.

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and have the full legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect personal data. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

3. Services Description and Limitations

Citizen Remote provides global mobility services to assist users with visa applications, residency permits, tax advisory, and related relocation processes. These services are delivered through a network of independent, vetted professionals, including licensed immigration lawyers, tax advisors, and other relocation specialists with expertise in their respective jurisdictions.

Citizen Remote facilitates access to these professionals and manages communication, payments, and client support through its platform. However, Citizen Remote does not provide legal representation or operate as an immigration law firm. Each service provider operates as an independent contractor, subject to their own terms and conditions, and is solely responsible for the quality, accuracy, and legality of the advice or services they deliver. Citizen Remote ensures that all listed professionals meet established professional and ethical standards before collaboration.

In addition to its professional services, Citizen Remote offers general informational resources via its website, blog, and platform tools. Such materials are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, financial, or tax advice. Users should always verify information with official government sources or qualified professionals before making decisions.

Citizen Remote does not and cannot guarantee the approval of visa applications, residency permits, tax benefits, or other legal outcomes. All such results remain subject to the discretion of government authorities and other factors outside Citizen Remote’s control.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Citizen Remote, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information at all times, and update it promptly if changes occur.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and restrict access to your account to prevent unauthorized use.

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and these Terms.

  • Refrain from using the platform to engage in, promote, or facilitate any fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or illegal activities.

  • Cooperate in good faith with Citizen Remote and our legal partners throughout the process, including timely submission of documents, communication, and required information.

  • Refrain from impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity, eligibility, or affiliation.

Citizen Remote reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without refund, if you fail to comply with these responsibilities or engage in conduct that harms or undermines the integrity of the platform, our partners, or other users.

5. Placing Orders for Services

5.1 Legal Capacity

By placing an Order or requesting Services through Citizen Remote, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

If you are placing an Order on behalf of a company or another individual, you represent that you have the legal authority to bind that entity or person to these Terms.

5.2 Order Acceptance

All Orders or Service requests are subject to acceptance by Citizen Remote. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any Order at our discretion, including in cases of ineligibility, payment issues, or suspected fraud.

5.3 Confirmation and Communication

Once your Order is accepted, we will confirm it by email or through the platform. This confirmation does not guarantee a specific outcome or visa approval, as results depend on factors beyond Citizen Remote’s control.

6. Your Information

6.1 Required Information

To access certain Services or complete a purchase, you may be required to provide accurate and complete personal details, including your full name, email address, phone number, nationality, payment information, and any other information necessary to deliver or verify the requested Service.

6.2 Accuracy and Authority

You confirm that:

(i) You have the legal right and authority to provide all information and documents submitted through the Service, including payment details and identification documents;

(ii) All information you provide is true, accurate, current, and complete; and

(iii) You will not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or eligibility for any Service.

6.3 Use and Sharing of Information

By submitting your information, you authorize Citizen Remote to:

  • Use your information to operate and manage the Service, process payments, verify your identity, and communicate with you about your account or requests.

  • Share relevant details with our verified partners and service providers — including licensed lawyers, accountants, tax professionals, and relocation specialists — only as necessary to deliver Services on your behalf.

  • Retain communications and submissions (such as Wizard messages or uploaded files) for quality assurance, compliance, and service improvement in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

All personal data will be handled in compliance with applicable data-protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as described in our Privacy Policy.

6.4 Data Accuracy and Updates

You are responsible for ensuring that all information and documents you provide remain accurate and up to date throughout your use of the Service.

You agree to promptly notify Citizen Remote of any changes to your personal details, contact information, or documentation (for example, passport renewal, address change, or marital status update) that may affect your eligibility or ongoing application.

Citizen Remote is not responsible for delays, errors, or adverse outcomes resulting from inaccurate or outdated information provided by you.

7. Order Cancellation

7.1 Company’s Right to Cancel

Citizen Remote reserves the right to refuse or cancel service at any time, including after payment, for reasons such as:

  • Service unavailability or inability to fulfill a request

  • Errors or inaccuracies in pricing, description, or client information

  • Ineligibility based on visa or legal requirements

  • Suspected fraud, misuse of the platform, or illegal activity

  • Failure by the client to provide required information or cooperate in good faith

If a payment has been made but no work has begun, eligibility for a refund will be determined according to our Refunds and Eligibility Policy (Section 14).

7.2 Your Right to Cancel

Clients may cancel a requested service only in accordance with our Refunds and Eligibility Policy (Section 14).

Once work has begun — including document review, lawyer communication, or case preparation — payments are considered final.

8. Availability, Errors, and Inaccuracies

We strive to keep all information on our Service accurate and up to date. However, our offerings, articles, and other content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions — including pricing, descriptions, visa requirements, or availability of services.

Given the constantly changing nature of immigration laws, government regulations, and third-party processes, information on our website, blog, or platform may occasionally become outdated or incorrect.

Citizen Remote does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content or information provided through the Service. We reserve the right to correct any errors, update details, or modify or discontinue Services at any time without prior notice.

Citizen Remote is not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from reliance on information that may be outdated or inaccurate. Users are encouraged to verify key details directly with our legal partners or official government sources before making decisions based on such information.

9. Pricing Policy

All prices displayed on the Service are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or adjust pricing at any time before accepting an Order or entering into a binding agreement for Services.

Prices are generally listed in U.S. dollars (USD), unless otherwise stated, and may vary based on location, applicable taxes, currency exchange rates, or service partner fees.

Once an Order or Service Agreement is accepted and confirmed, the price will not be changed unless mutually agreed in writing or required by changes in applicable law or government fees.

10. Payments

We accept various payment methods, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, and direct bank transfers.

All payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers. You authorize Citizen Remote and our payment processors to charge your selected payment method for any applicable fees related to the Services you select.

All payments are subject to validation and authorization by your payment provider. If authorization is declined, Citizen Remote is not responsible for any delay, cancellation, or non-delivery of Services.

Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, currency conversion fees, or bank charges associated with your transaction.

Once services have begun, payments are non-refundable, as detailed in our Refund Policy.

11. Promotions

From time to time, Citizen Remote may offer promotions, discounts, referral programs, or other special offers (“Promotions”) through the Service. Each Promotion may be governed by its own specific terms and conditions, which will be presented at the time of the offer.

By participating in a Promotion, you agree to comply with both its specific rules and these Terms. If there is a conflict between the Promotion terms and these Terms, the Promotion terms will control with respect to that specific offer.

Citizen Remote reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any Promotion at any time without prior notice, in its sole discretion, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

12. Content and Data Usage

12.1 Your Right to Post Content

You are responsible for any Content you post or upload on the Service, ensuring its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

By submitting or communicating through the Service, you grant Citizen Remote a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, analyze, and create derivative works from such Content for the purpose of operating, improving, and developing our products and services — including, without limitation, training and refining machine learning and artificial intelligence systems that enhance the functionality and accuracy of our platform.

You retain ownership of your Content. However, by using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Content and communications submitted within the platform, including messages exchanged inside any Wizard or other communication tools, may be analyzed or processed in aggregated, anonymized, or pseudonymized form for product improvement, service analytics, and AI model training.

  • Sensitive documents or attachments uploaded for visa, residency, or legal purposes (such as passports, IDs, financial statements, or government paperwork) will not be used for AI training or model development. These are processed strictly for the purpose of delivering the requested legal or immigration services in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • Any AI or automation tools used within the Service operate under strict confidentiality and data protection standards consistent with GDPR and other applicable laws.

You warrant that:

  • You own or have the legal right to share the Content you submit.

  • Posting or uploading your Content does not violate any privacy, copyright, or contractual rights.

12.2 Content Restrictions

You may not post or upload Content that is:

  • Illegal, offensive, or discriminatory.

  • Spam, unauthorized advertising, or gambling-related.

  • Harmful, including malware or hacking tools.

  • Infringing on intellectual property or privacy rights.

  • False, misleading, or impersonating others.

We reserve the right to remove, modify, or restrict access to any Content that violates these Terms or to protect our users and the integrity of the Service.

12.3 Content Backups

While We perform regular backups, We do not guarantee that all data will be preserved without loss or corruption. You are responsible for maintaining separate copies of Your Content.

13. Copyright Policy

13.1 Intellectual Property Infringement

We respect copyright laws and respond to claims of copyright infringement.

If you believe that content on our Service violates your copyright, please send a written notice to hello@citizenremote.com with:

  • A description of the copyrighted work.

  • The location (URL) of the infringing content.

  • Your contact details (name, address, phone, email).

  • A statement that you believe the use is unauthorized.

  • A declaration under penalty of perjury that your claim is accurate.

  • Your physical or electronic signature.

False claims may result in legal consequences, including liability for damages.

13.2 DMCA Notice & Procedure

Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), copyright owners can submit infringement claims following 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).

Send all notices to hello@citizenremote.com. We may remove or restrict access to the reported content at our discretion.

14. Refunds and Eligibility

14.1 General Refund Policy for Professional Services

All payments made to Citizen Remote are for professional services, including the time, expertise, and resources of our team and legal partners. Payments are not tied to guaranteed outcomes, as results depend on factors outside of our control, such as government discretion, document validity, or policy changes.

30-Day Refund Eligibility (Before Work Begins)

If you cancel within 30 days of payment and before any work has begun, you may be eligible for a refund minus any payment processing and currency exchange fees incurred by Citizen Remote.

“Work” is deemed to have begun once any of the following activities occur:

  • Document review or eligibility assessment;

  • Any email, message, or call correspondence regarding your case;

  • Legal consultation or strategic guidance;

  • Template or document preparation;

  • Scheduling of meetings, calls, or submission appointments with authorities or partners.

Once any of the above has occurred, no refund will be issued.

No Refunds Once Services Are Engaged

After work has commenced, all payments are final and non-refundable. This applies in all situations, including but not limited to:

  • Voluntary withdrawal or lack of cooperation by the Client;

  • Failure to provide required documents or respond in a timely manner;

  • Delays, rejections, or denials by immigration, tax, or other government authorities;

  • Policy changes or external events outside Citizen Remote’s control;

  • Dissatisfaction with processing times, communication frequency, or service outcomes.

Refunds will not be issued for any perceived or actual lack of success, as you are paying for the time and professional effort involved in your case, not for guaranteed approval.

Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate, truthful, and complete information;

  • Supplying required documentation within reasonable timeframes; and

  • Maintaining communication with Citizen Remote and its partners.

Failure to do so does not entitle you to a refund.

Final Determination

All refund decisions are made at Citizen Remote’s sole discretion and are binding. By engaging our services, you acknowledge that once work has begun, all payments are final.

This refund policy forms part of Citizen Remote’s overall Terms of Use and applies to all professional and visa-related services provided through our platform.

14.2 Refunds for Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions provide access to premium features and resources within the Citizen Remote platform.

You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided that you have not accessed or used any premium features during that time. Premium features include, but are not limited to:

  • Messaging or contacting partners or service providers;

  • Posting or sharing content within the community;

  • Accessing exclusive articles, tools, or member-only resources; or

  • Engaging in any premium service or feature not available to free users.

If any premium feature has been accessed or used, the service is considered delivered, and no refund will be available, even within the initial 14-day period.

Refunds approved within this window will be issued minus any payment processing or currency exchange fees incurred by Citizen Remote.

All refund determinations for annual subscriptions are made at Citizen Remote’s sole discretion and are final.

4.3 Refunds for One-Off or Standalone Services

“One-Off” or “Standalone Services” refer to individual purchases that are not part of an ongoing professional engagement—such as single consultations, eligibility assessments, document reviews, translation coordination, or scheduled calls.

These services are provided immediately upon scheduling or preparation, and therefore are non-refundable once confirmed.

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:

  • You fail to attend or reschedule a confirmed consultation or call;

  • You cancel after materials or guidance have been prepared;

  • You are dissatisfied with the advice or opinion provided; or

  • You experience delays in receiving documentation or follow-up due to missing information on your part.

Each One-Off or Standalone Service represents payment for professional time and expertise already allocated to you. For clarity, visa, residency, tax, or relocation services are governed by Section 14.1 (General Refund Policy), not this section.

14.4 Refunds for Lifetime Subscriptions

Lifetime subscriptions grant ongoing access to premium features and exclusive resources. Due to the immediate and continuous nature of this access, all lifetime subscription fees are non-refundable once the membership has been activated or used in any way.

If you have not accessed or used any premium features (such as messaging partners, posting content, downloading resources, or participating in the community) within the first 30 days of purchase, you may request a refund minus any processing or exchange fees.

Once any premium feature has been accessed, the service is considered fully delivered and no refund will be available, even within the initial 30-day period.

This refund policy forms part of Citizen Remote’s overall Terms of Use and applies to all professional services provided through our platform, including those accessed via any Citizen Remote Wizard.

All refund determinations for lifetime subscriptions are made at Citizen Remote’s sole discretion and are final.

15. Third-Party Services:

Certain services available through the Citizen Remote platform are managed by third-party partners and are not part of Citizen Remote’s internal service offerings. Accordingly, refund requests related to such third-party services must be directed to and handled by the respective third-party provider, in accordance with their refund policies.

Third-Party Links: The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Use them at your own risk.

16. Feedback

By providing feedback, you assign all related rights to the Company. If assignment is ineffective, you grant the Company a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute the feedback.

17. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Citizen Remote and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

In no event shall our total cumulative liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, exceed the lesser of (a) the total amount you have paid to us for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

If you have not made any payments through the Service, our total liability shall not exceed fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain damages, so parts of this limitation may not apply to you.

19. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, accuracy of information, or virus-free content. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these may not fully apply to you.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Citizen Remote operates globally and partners with independent service providers located in various countries. However, your agreement is with Citizen Remote LLC, a Delaware company, and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

You consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

If you access or use the Service from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

21. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through good-faith negotiation between the Parties.

If the Parties are unable to reach a resolution within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be submitted to non-binding mediation in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

If mediation is unsuccessful, the matter shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Nothing in this section shall prevent either Party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misuse, or unauthorized disclosure of confidential information or intellectual property.

22. EU Consumers

If you are a resident of the European Union, you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are a resident. Nothing in these Terms, including the choice of Delaware law and jurisdiction, affects your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

23. U.S. Legal Compliance

Citizen Remote complies with all applicable U.S. export control and sanctions laws. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you:

  • Are not located in or ordinarily resident in a country or territory subject to comprehensive U.S. government sanctions or embargoes (currently including Iran, North Korea, or Syria).

  • Are not identified on any U.S. government restricted party list, such as the Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List, Denied Persons List, or Entity List.

  • Will not use the Service for any purpose prohibited by U.S. law, including to facilitate transactions with sanctioned persons or entities.

Citizen Remote may provide services to individuals from countries that are subject to certain U.S. trade restrictions, provided that doing so does not violate applicable sanctions or export control laws.

24. Severability & Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified and interpreted to best accomplish its original intent to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

No failure or delay by Citizen Remote in enforcing any right, remedy, or provision under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of such right or any other provision, and any waiver must be expressly made in writing to be effective.

25. Translation

These Terms may be translated into other languages for your convenience. However, in the event of any inconsistency or conflict between a translated version and the English version, the English version shall prevail and be considered the authoritative and legally binding text.

26. Changes to Terms

We may modify or update these Terms from time to time at our discretion to reflect changes in our business, services, or applicable laws. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before the updated Terms take effect.

Your continued access to or use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service before the changes take effect.
