Job details
The role:
As a Full Stack Developer you will be responsible for contributing to the technical design, development, and implementation of the Viewber application ecosystem. The role involves more than just writing production code; in a typical week, you could be brainstorming technical architecture options, providing feedback to improve our development processes, reviewing PRs from other team members, fixing a bug you randomly came across, or improving unit test coverage.
You will be in charge of drastically improving multiple functionalities and features for our web app, completing tasks end to end, as well as improving and maintaining the quality of the entire codebase.
You will take charge of your own work and proactively suggest improvements across the whole frontend/backend.
One full-time position is available working Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm (with a 1-hour break). In a remote environment, you will be responsible for your own time and results.
Whilst the position is home-based, you should be located within the UK for ease of attending any in-person training or meetings, if needed.
Required qualities and skills:
- Nutcracker: you love solving engineering problems.
- Technical Ninja: proficiency with Vue.js, React, Laravel 8+, backed by 2+ years of professional development experience.
- At least 2 years experience working from home
- Superb English fluency both verbal and written: we are an international team and clear communication is vital. It goes without saying (but we'll say it anyway) that you absolutely must have the ability to participate in frequent video meetings.
- Caring Developer: you recognise that your code and work impact not only the customers but also the rest of the team. You conduct yourself with professionalism and respect not only in meetings but also in how you structure your code and in the documentation that you write.
- Independent: you are self-motivated, take initiative, and are a strong communicator. You are results-driven and willing to learn and improve yourself.
