Job details
TRM is on a mission to build a safer financial system for billions of people. We deliver a blockchain intelligence data platform to financial institutions, crypto companies, and governments to fight cryptocurrency fraud and financial crime. We consider our business — and our profit — as a way to move towards our mission sustainably and at scale.
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Operations Analyst to join our growing People team. This role is integral to supporting our employees and ensuring our HR systems and processes are both scalable and efficient. This role will focus on digging deep into data, optimizing systems, and enabling the company to make informed, strategic HR decisions. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy problem-solving at the intersection of people and operations, this role is for you!
The impact you will have:
- You are highly organized and are able to juggle all your responsibilities through ruthless prioritization
- Analyze HR data to identify trends and insights, providing actionable recommendations.
- Create, maintain, and improve dashboards using tools like Google Sheets (primary), Looker, or Tableau.
- Develop workflows and optimize processes using tools like Asana
- Support system implementations and ensure accurate data management across HR platforms.
- Collaborate with the HR team to ensure data integrity and alignment with business goals
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide data-backed insights and operational support.
What we’re looking for:
- HR Expertise: 2-4 years of experience in in HR analytics, operations, or a similar role. Familiarity with HRIS platforms and general HR operations.
- Tech-Savvy: Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets; experience with Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills: The ability to translate data into insights and recommendations
- Problem Solver: Adept at troubleshooting and improving HR systems and processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Startup Mindset: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to partner with employees and leaders across the company.
- Data-Driven: Experience using data to drive decisions and improve HR processes.
About the Team:
Our HR Operations team is a blend of junior and senior professionals spread across the US and Serbia. This mix of experience and perspectives fosters collaboration and learning, making it a dynamic and enriching environment to work in.
We value communication and alignment, which is why we prioritize structured collaboration. The team connects through daily standups to ensure everyone is on the same page, bi-weekly meetings with the broader People team, and monthly alignment sessions involving HR and Talent. Between meetings, we rely on thorough documentation, Slack, and email to keep things moving efficiently and transparently.
Our culture is incredibly supportive and welcoming. We pride ourselves on being curious, ready to help, and warm, creating a space where every team member can thrive. This is a great team for anyone who values collaboration, kindness, and continuous growth.
To complement this team, we look for individuals with strong communication skills, adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Empathy and a team-first attitude are key traits that ensure smooth collaboration and contribute to our inclusive and encouraging environment.
- As a globally distributed team, members may observe different timezones. However, most of the team will overlap between the hours of 7am-12pm PST Monday-Friday for meetings and collaboration.
- All team members, regardless of location must have at least 4 hour overlap with PST business hours.
- About 2 - 3 times a year it so happens we are all out on the same day for a holiday! At that time we designate 1 person to be ‘on-call’ and monitor Slack and email just in case of an HR emergency that needs to be adressed same day. We all rotate so everyone can expect to be on call about once a year.
Learn about TRM Speed in this position:
- Employee inquiry tickets are resolved within hours
- Basic reports compiled same day
- All new hire paperwork drafted and sent out same day
Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles are foundational element of our strategy, guiding how we make decisions, how we treat each other, and how we behave day-to-day.
- Impact-Oriented Trailblazer: We put customers first, driving for speed, focus, and adaptability.
- Master Craftsperson: We prioritize speed, high standards, and distributed ownership.
- Inspiring Colleague: We value humility, candor, and a one-team mindset.
Build a Career
Joining TRM means being part of a mission-driven team comprised of industry leaders. At TRM, you'll experience:
- Purpose and Mission: Have a real-world impact, from disrupting terrorist networks to returning stolen funds.
- Inspiring Colleagues: Collaborate with industry leaders and learn something new daily.
- Personal Growth: We're not just using technology; we're inventing it and taking category-defining products to market.
Work Environment
- Remote First: Our HQ is online. Tools like Zoom and Slack ensure seamless collaboration, but we also value in-person interactions, organizing regular meetups and offsites for team bonding. Clear communication is key in our decentralized setup. With tools like Slack, Loom, and voice notes, we document meetings and decisions, promoting transparency and efficiency.
- Ownership & TRM Speed: Small teams drive big goals at TRM. Every team member has significant ownership and responsibility, fostering an environment of initiative and direct impact. While there's no strict clocking in or out, we expect team members to balance personal schedules and team needs. We move “surprisingly fast” while maintaining a high bar in service of our customers and mission. This can feel both intense and rewarding. Our unique approach to projects emphasizes quick wins, rapid iterations, and constant feedback.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Diversity at TRM encompasses backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Every day is an opportunity to learn from a colleague, whether they're a law enforcement expert or a tech pioneer.
- Annual Company Offsite: Once a year, TRMers come together from around the world to attend a 1-week mandatory company offsite. This is designed to foster in-person relationships, creativity, and strategic alignment. Employee attendance is required of all TRMers.
