Accounting Manager at Shift Markets

An opportunity with our partner entity has developed for an Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting team. As the Accounting Manager, you will work alongside the internal team to resolve any issues before audits.  You will also help to anticipate potential questions from the auditing firm so responses are organized and complete. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in public accounting and has managed a team.  Experience in financial services, capital markets, and/or cryptocurrency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure company records are up to date
• Help organize materials that could be requested
• Identify and assess areas of risk
• Identify & resolve potential issues
• Responsible for the books, records, and financial statements of multiple entities
• Consolidate financials and present them to executives, regulators, and underwriters
• Help third-party accounting firm prepare tax returns

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional accounting and auditing skills
• Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
• In-depth knowledge of accounting best practices, policies, and regulations
• Expert proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel
• CPA preferred

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in public accounting
• Experience with auditing and accounting
• Experience in financial services, capital markets, and/or cryptocurrency preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

This position requires working 40 hours per week.  Compensation depends on experience and location, ranging from $110,000 to $140,000.
