About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Lead to join our data-driven organization. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS platform, which processes over a billion documents monthly. You will lead the QA team, architect our test automation strategy, and drive continuous improvement in our processes. You will also play a crucial role in expanding the QA team as needed to meet growing business demands.

 

Responsibilities include: 

• Lead and Mentor: Oversee a QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
• Strategy Development: Architect and implement a robust test automation strategy tailored to a high-volume, data-intensive platform.
• Test Planning and Execution: Devise, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, including both manual and automated test cases.
• Performance Testing: Design and conduct performance tests to evaluate system scalability and responsiveness under heavy loads.
• Automation Framework: Build and maintain a scalable automation framework to support regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, product managers, and developers to ensure alignment with quality objectives.
• Incident Management: Assist with incident response and root cause analysis efforts to prevent recurrence.
• Team Expansion: Identify and recruit top QA talent to expand the team as needed to support business growth.

 

Essential Criteria: 

• Proven experience leading and managing QA teams in a high-volume, data-centric environment.
• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and data querying languages.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and security best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

 

Desirable Skills:

• Experience of data processing pipelines, ETL processes.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies.
• Experience with data validation, data quality and data profiling tools.
• Understanding of how AI can help with QA tasks.
• QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)
