Role Description

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Advex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's technical direction. As an MLE you are well versed with the ML life-cycle process, collect data, label data, train model and iterate multiple times before achieving desired performance. Your hands-on involvement will include working with our CTO to automate the entire ML life-cycle by scaling the Advex pipeline that automatically (1) identifies gaps in data distributions, (2) generates labeled synthetic samples, (3) and trains downstream models on enhanced synthetic datasets. You are also expected to engage directly with our customers. As we expand, you will contribute heavily to the architectural roadmap, laying the foundation for the Advex platform. Your technical leadership will be instrumental in supporting and growing our engineering and product teams.

We are seeking an individual who is strategic, capable of transforming research constraints and product specifications into an enterprise-ready application. We value self-starters who aren't afraid to dive into the details and iterate on prototypes in the early stages of development.

 

About You

We are seeking a candidate who embodies the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • 3 to 5 years of industry experience in Deep Learning and Computer Vision

  • Prior experience working at a startup

  • Experiences in end to end ML application development, including data engineering, model tuning, and model serving

  • Technical expertise demonstrated through published papers or industry experience:

    • Representation learning – SSL, VAE, Dino, SAM

    • Building and scaling ML Infrastructure - AWS, GCP, containerization

  • Proven track record of rapidly delivering complex project within tight deadlines

  • Ability to make critical decisions with little information

  • Excel at identifying bottlenecks and gaps within research papers and swiftly translating them into code.
