Patchstack is looking for a product designer experienced in designing intuitive and engaging digital experiences across Patchstack’s portfolio of security products. This is a fully remote role but your timezone should be UTC-1 to UTC+4.
What is Patchstack?
We are a team passionate about open-source and security. Patchstack covers the full lifcycle of vulnerability management within the open-source CMS ecosystem. We find and process vulnerabilities and are the worlds largest indpendent handler of vulnerability data. We protect website owners and developers from hackers by mitigating vulnerabilities before hackers can exploit them. Patchstack partners with some of the largest webhosts in the world.
What we do
- We provide a SaaS solution to detect and virtually patch plugin vulnerabilities in websites built on open-source platforms such as WordPress;
- We run a community-driven gamified bug bounty program (Patchstack Alliance) to nurture and motivate independent security researchers;
- We maintain an open and free vulnerability database;
- We run a managed vulnerability disclosure platform (mVDP) to help plugin developers comply with emerging security guidelines and fix security vulnerabilities faster.
- We provide vulnerability intelligence to some of the biggest WordPress hosting companies;
- We provide professional code review and security auditing for WordPress plugin creators.
Who are we looking for?
This role requires a motivated individual with strong ownership in independently designing and continuously improving our UI design library, user flows and dashboards across multiple products. We’re looking for someone who is eager to embrace challenges, and adaptive to learnings.
We are not looking for fresh UIUX course graduates with fictional portfolio work.
Key responsibilities
- Build, maintain and document the library of UI components and tokenized design assets;
- Enforce UIUX persistency across Patchstack’s digital products;
- Participate in research to improve on improving value delivery and user experience;
- Plan and design new feature flows based on user needs;
- Create rapid and/or high fidelity prototypes for internal testing and stakeholder review;
- Collaborate with the marketing and product stakeholders on continuous iterations;
- Troubleshoot usability and other issues affecting user experience post-launch.
Requirements
- Experienced user of Figma and designing within tokenized systems;
- Portfolio showcasing experience working on SaaS and/or data-driven dashboards;
- Comfortable with taking high ownership over deliverables and time management;
- A work-ethic suitable for full-remote work and agile, sometimes async, collaboration;
- Strong knowledge of design principles, effective UIUX patterns, UX writing, responsive design and accessibility;
- Open-minded communicator and collaborator with very good verbal and written English;
- Familiarity with CSS, frameworks, user success metrics;
- Timezone UTC-1 to UTC+4.
Nice to have
- Experience building websites on CMS’s like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla;
- Experience with cyber security products and vulnerability management;
- Experience with Adobe suite or interaction design and animations (Lottie, Jitter etc).
