Senior Product Designer - Marketplace Efficiencies at Palmstreet
Job details
Founded by Apple and Instagram veterans and backed by top Silicon Valley VCs, Palmstreet.app is the #1 live-buying and selling platform for exotic plants, handicrafts and more. We are rapidly expanding into more categories, bringing engaging experiences and unique products to people around the world.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Sr. Product Designer to empower sellers' business growth, through our web-based business portal and consumer-facing mobile App. You will work closely with product managers and other cross-functional partners to deeply understand seller needs and create user-centric solutions that simplify their daily workflows and empower sellers to scale their businesses.
This is a fully remote or hybrid (Bay Area) position, open to candidates based in the United States and Canada. You will report to the Design Lead and collaborate with talented colleagues from around the globe.
Collaborate with other designers, and cross function teams to identify opportunities to streamline workflow, increase efficiency and enhance the user experience for seller-facing features that solve the challenges sellers face while running their business on Palmstreet.
Work in a fast-paced, iterative environment to demonstrate design ownership over end-to-end product experiences.
Define UX guidelines and best practices for interaction models and UI designs across the product, especially on business portals.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and maintain direct communication with users to gather insights, iterate on designs, and deliver intuitive, user-centered solutions.
Facilitate user study and feedback sessions with seller community, turning user insights into actionable design outcomes.
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
6+ years of design experience at a product-focused tech company.
Extensive experience working with web and native mobile products.
A robust portfolio demonstrating excellence in product, user experience and visual design.
Deep empathy for users with a customer-first mindset.
Top-notch design craft and ability to rapidly ideate and produce design concepts
Ability to articulate and advocate for your design decisions while balancing complex product and development considerations
Ability to wear a Product Manager’s hat by thinking through the lens of business impact
Earnest, mature, and ego-free. You welcome candid feedback and can constructively give it as well.
Experience designing for marketplace platforms or business-facing dashboards.
Ability to simplify complex problems into clear, actionable solutions.
Strong communication skills, including comfort with public speaking (e.g., at trade shows).
Additional skills in areas like data visualization or copywriting are a plus.
Experience working with a global team.
