Own is looking for a passionate, dedicated, and highly motivated Senior Automation Engineer to join our Platform Foundations team. In this role, you will collaborate across all of our product development teams and help test features across our unified API. - Collaborating with a cross-functional team of designers, developers, product managers, data engineer professionals to deliver high-quality, high-security, high-useability and high-performance solutions
- Lead the implementation of robust test automation frameworks and best practices Design and create automated tests to address business and technical use cases.
- Reduce manual test processes and effort through Automation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, guaranteeing high-quality and flawless end-user experience.
- Prepare relevant documentations / guides
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 7+ years of experience as an Automation quality engineer or software developer
- Knowledge of software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
- Strong programming experience in Python
- Experience building web and API application test automation
- Experience with Linux
- Hands-on experience in AWS/ Azure based environment- Advantage
- Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining pipelines
- Using Docker technologies like Docker images, containers, volumes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Creative self-starter with good problem-solving skills
- Due to the nature of the federal work involved, U.S. citizenship is a requirement for this position. Applicants must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship prior to employment. Additionally, candidates may be required to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of of the DC Metro Area to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Own is a global team, and as we’re looking for top-talent, for the right candidate there may be an opportunity to work remotely in the following states: CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, ME, NC, NJ, NM, NY, NV, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI. Travel may be required.
The base salary hiring range for this position is $119,200 to $149,000. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be dependent upon various factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, scope of the role, and location.
