At Meister, Engineering is about more than just lines of code. As our new Full-Stack Engineer, you'll play center stage in the evolution of our award-winning Task & Note application. In a cross-functional team that focuses on both code quality and a smooth user experience, you'll provide our customers with the features that they know and love.
While your bread and butter is the UI of an application, you know how to switch gears and dive deep into the back-end. Your proficiency with React and Ruby allows you to quickly change hats and work on whatever part of the app is currently most exciting. What Makes You Special
- Real Life experience. You have 5+ years' of front-end experience (ideally React.js). and 3+ years' experience of back-end development with Ruby on Rails.
- Full-Stack mindset. You quickly adapt to circumstances and easily switch between both sides of an application.
- Systems thinking. You use your holistic understanding of both back-end and front-end to consider the interconnections and interdependencies to make informed architectural decisions & trade-offs across both platforms.
- Front-end credentials. You're skilled in the usage bundler frameworks (Webpack or Vite.) Additional knowledge on state-management (Flux) is a plus!
- Customer empathy: You're curious about the impact of your work and apply a user- centric approach to coding.
- Communication skills. Your effective communication skills for collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and customers, convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- Mentor and coach. You're enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge and seeing other people grow.
- Team player. You embrace asynchronous communication and enjoy working in a geographically distributed team.
