Job details

Research Executive - Casual manages and analyzes data to find insights. This includes organizing data, cleaning it, and tagging key attributes like sentiment, journalist, spokesperson, or topic based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

    • Organize and clean data for analysis.
    • Tag data with attributes like sentiment, journalist, spokesperson, or topic.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency.
    • Create reports and visualizations.
    • Work with teams to meet project goals.
    • Ensures high rating accuracy on relevancy and sentiment applied
    • Conforms to standing orders, account preferences and client specifications
    • Codes and researches articles using the online system or other methods as required
    • Facilitates overall content management and meets data handling deadline
    • Performs deep review of data relevancy and applies sentiment that would suit the article/ post.
    • Carries out content tagging as specifically instructed.
    • Ensures that articles/ tickets are coded/ cleared, checked and tagged in a timely manner to meet the deadlines
    • Conducts account checks and provides useful feedback from data handled.
    • Assists the Research Team and overall Insights operations
    • Adapts to changes in responsibilities and processes with ease
    • Ensures compliance with Isentia policies and standards, and ensures compliance with all local statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of data management.
  • Degree in Business, Social Sciences or other Media and Communications related course
  • Excellent reading, comprehension and analytical skills with an ability to summarise key issues and themes from media articles as well as organise and prioritise work according to tight deadlines
  • At least 1-2 years in related industry with experience in market research and/ or project management
  • Self-motivated, results driven, with the ability to work in a team. Able to work autonomously and under pressure, good time management skill, and strong attention to details with an interest in news and current affairs
  • Skilled in data cleaning and organizing.
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Familiar with data tagging and classification.
  • Experience with large datasets.
  • Able to identify patterns and insights.
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Work duration based on project (daily, weekly, or monthly).
  • Available to start immediately.
  • Able to work from 06:00 AM or 07:00 AM.
