Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, energized and hands-on leader for this position. Our quality team is a pivotal piece of the Filevine product and has grown substantially. This role will require a passion for leading and elevating your team members, a knack for being hands-on and a well-rounded knowledge of best practices in the SDET environment.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership to a software quality assurance team specializing in test automation and responsible for one or more projectsManage and mentor QA team members:Provide hands-on leadership to drive innovationHold regular 1:1s with each team memberPerform quarterly reviews with each team memberPerform an annual review with each team member and make recommendations for compensation adjustmentsAssess and advocate potential career advancement opportunities for team membersCommunicate and direct any necessary corrective actionsProvide test reports to managementLead continuing improvements in processes and practices that:Reduce the number of production defectsEstablish workflows that integrate into our development cyclesIdentify risks by working with the appropriate product development owners to ensure critical and high-risk items are prevented prior to releaseLead by exampleContribute to the design and coding of key projects and toolingHelp drive meaningful work across the finish lineCommunicate product and company vision to team membersWork closely with Product partners to prioritize and scope workWork closely with Support partners to triage and assign incoming issuesContribute to onboarding practices and documentation, and lead the onboarding effort for new team membersParticipate in hiring and interviewing process for potential candidates joining your teamPerform other duties as assigned by Director of QualityQualifications
5+ years of experience managing a quality assurance teamExtensive familiarity with quality assurance processes and procedures, and the ability to devise methods to enforce quality standards and best practicesExperience planning and executing end to end testing of integrated systems including validation of the integration layerExperience working with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologiesExpertise in performing different types of Testing: Black box, GUI, Integration, Regression, Backend, System, End-to-End and User Acceptance TestingDemonstrated leader in the coordination of cross-functional teams and champion of consistency and task completionFamiliar with automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc.)7+ years of experience writing automation using with OOP languages (C#, Java, Python, etc.)Shows mastery with source control systems and CI/CD Pipelines
Education
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science, information systems, a related field; comparable certifications; or equivalent direct work experienceCool Company Benefits:
