Job details

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, and innovative Head of Sustainability / Sustainability Manager who is passionate about nature restoration and sustainability. As the Head of Sustainability, your main responsibility is to oversee and enhance DGB Group's sustainability initiatives, both in-house and for our clients. You will manage carbon footprint analyses, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions, and assess our CSRD setup and BCorp certification.

Your tasks will include developing sustainability strategies, conducting carbon footprint analyses, and ensuring compliance with sustainability standards. You will work across various channels, such as sustainability reports, client consultations, internal policies, and public presentations. Your primary focus will be on creating actionable sustainability plans and collaborating with clients to achieve their environmental goals. You'll develop and implement strategies to reduce carbon footprints, ensuring alignment with DGB's mission and values. Your work will emphasise driving sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance, and maintaining relevance in the industry.

Your efforts should align with our company's voice and style, contributing to conveying our mission, values, and objectives. It will be important to stay updated on industry trends and build brand awareness and reputation.

What you’ll do

  • Carbon footprint analysis: Conduct thorough carbon footprint analyses, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions for both DGB and our clients.
  • Sustainability strategy: Develop and implement clear, actionable sustainability strategies that reflect the company's mission and goals.
  • Compliance and standards: Ensure compliance with relevant sustainability standards and frameworks, such as CSRD and BCorp certification.
  • Client consultations: Collaborate with clients to develop customised sustainability plans that help them achieve their environmental goals.
  • Research and innovation: Stay informed about market developments and industry trends to create relevant and impactful sustainability strategies.
  • Team collaboration: Work closely with various departments to integrate sustainability practices across all areas of the business.
  • Reporting and documentation: Prepare detailed sustainability reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • On-time delivery: Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, ensuring all work is completed within deadlines.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience: Proven experience in sustainability management or a related field. Industry experience will be preferred.
  • Education: A degree in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field is not mandatory but preferred.
  • Technical skills: Strong understanding of carbon footprint analysis, sustainability standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration: The ability to work effectively with various departments to integrate sustainability practices across the business.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills to convey complex sustainability concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Organisational skills: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Technical proficiency: Familiarity with tools and software for carbon footprint analysis and sustainability reporting.
  • Technical skills: HubSpot wizard, familiar with working on Monday.com, Metapulse, and Google Workspace.
