Schedule: Monday – Friday (06:00 AM – 03:00 PM or 07:00 AM – 04:00 PM Manila time) 

 

What are we looking for? 

Skills Required:  

  • At least 5 years’ experience in IT Systems Support. 
  • At least 2+ Years administering/supporting enterprise backup software (e.g. Veeam, Shadowprotect, Commvault, Azure Backup etc). 
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with servers and other backend infrastructure (e.g. Windows Server, Azure, VMWare, Microsoft 365 etc). 
  • Industry experience working within the ITIL framework. 
  • Experience configuring disk and tape backup solutions. 

Nice to Have:

  • Preferred certification Veeam Certified Engineer or other enterprise backup solution.
  • Preferred experience working in a multi tenanted environment utilizing different backup tools/processes.
  • Preferred previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Service Provider, or similar organisation.
  • Understanding and experience in Linux/Unix and Powershell.

 

What will you do?

  • Manage the company’s empower cloud backup results on a daily, weekly & monthly basis.
  • Triage and resolve backup failures in a timely manner and escalate issues with failure resolutions to the backup lead or the management in a timely manner based on the company’s OLA’s.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level backup infrastructure support and perform restoration of objects or client environments in a timely manner and in line with company’s processes and procedures.
  • Manage the customer’s backup infrastructure – monitoring, reporting and maintaining infrastructure as required.
  • Perform maintenance, proactive and auditing tasks where required.
  • Work with the backup lead to ensure configurations are implemented to the company’s best practices.
  • Work together with the backup lead to perform regular health checks on the backup environment/s and work with the backup lead to provide recommendations to customers based on the company’s best practices.
  • Work with the onboarding team to audit, review, perform health checks and recommendations new customers and devices within the backup space.
  • Identify and raise any missing information/documentation to the backup lead and working with them to ensure it is clearly documented.
  • Adhere to Incident, Problem and Change Management processes as per the company’s/customer standards (ITIL Framework) and being flexible and able to quickly adapt to the needs of the customer or business.
