  • Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a seasoned AWS Architect with a proven track record in the medical device industry. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in architecting AWS cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, and compliant with medical device regulations. You will play a pivotal role in designing cloud infrastructures that support the development, testing, and deployment of cutting-edge medical devices, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and deliver exceptional performance.
    Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect AWS Solutions: Design and build AWS cloud architectures tailored to the needs of medical devices, ensuring security, scalability, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with regulatory and quality teams to ensure that all AWS architectures comply with relevant standards, including FDA regulations, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and HIPAA.
  • Security & Data Privacy: Implement robust security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and monitoring, to protect sensitive medical data and ensure patient privacy.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
  • Integration & Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, quality assurance, and product managers, to integrate cloud solutions with medical devices and associated software.
  • Scalability & Performance: Optimize cloud architectures for high availability, low latency, and reliable performance, particularly for real-time medical data processing.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure continuous operation and data integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest AWS advancements and industry trends to continuously improve cloud solutions and reduce operational costs.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, technical designs, and compliance-related materials.

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, with at least 7 years in AWS.
  • Significant experience in the medical device industry, including a strong understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, HIPAA).
  • Demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and manage secure and compliant cloud solutions in a medical context.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and AWS automation tools.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or equivalent is highly preferred.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with healthcare data interoperability standards like HL7 and FHIR.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML integration within medical device applications.
  • Familiarity with serverless and microservices architectures on AWS.
  • Previous experience with global product deployment and multi-region AWS environments.
