Role Description
As an experienced cloud reliability professional in the Autodesk Trust division, you will apply your diverse technology skills to guide resilience practices in a rapidly evolving landscape.
- Establish or enable foundational standards, design patterns, and reference architectures.
- Help Autodesk to understand and implement resiliency requirements at business scale.
- Ensure a comprehensive approach to resilience strategy across all divisions of Autodesk.
- Inform needs for the entire lifecycle of Autodesk products and services, encompassing creation, design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing operation.
- Further develop and refine your skills within the context of Autodesk's large-scale operations.
- Act as a technical leader; actively seek, influence, form, and lead development of requirements across Autodesk with numerous stakeholder types.
- Work remotely from your home office with a team of Architects, reporting to the Director of Trust Architecture.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate to design and develop new resiliency standards, reference designs, templates, and other architecture artifacts that ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of systems and services.
- Offer consultation to assist product and service partners in designing resilience requirements and best practices into their systems.
- Conduct gap analysis to assess resilience need versus actual implementations in products, environments, and business systems.
- Establish and maintain consistent communication channels with partners within and outside of Autodesk Trust to identify and act on resilience opportunities.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to identify solutions that address gaps or enhance resilience capabilities.
- Apply risk calculations to facilitate and inform strategic decision-making processes.
- Use systems design and thinking principles to translate and enable resilience at scale, ensuring consistency across Autodesk.
- Provide mentorship and promote awareness through professional excellence and direct engagement.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in resilience focused, systems engineering, devops/SRE, or architecture roles.

Significant hands-on experience with at least 7/11 of the following:
- Public cloud IaaS and PaaS engineering/architecture
- System engineering or architecture
- Site Reliability Engineering or architecture
- Disaster Recovery Engineering or architecture
- Business Continuity Engineering or architecture
- Cloud network engineering or architecture
- Application engineering or architecture
- DevOps including serverless and container/orchestration engineering and architecture
- Standards and reference architecture creation
- Familiarity with systems design and architectural constructs such as TOGAF and COBIT
- Risk or Compliance assessment

Salary Transparency
For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $137,300 and $201,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
