Would you like to enjoy the company of other internationals in a shared apartment during your stay in Rotterdam? Co-living is the way! After a hard day’s work or study you will like you come back in a light and spacious apartment. With a floor space of 180 m2 this privately owned apartment is suitable for 3-4 persons. We have a studio on the 4th floor with private rooftop terrace available. The studio offers a private bedroom with a double bed, working desk and large wardrobe plus a private bathroom (shower/toilet/sink) and livingroom with kitchen.

Public transport nearby | Conveniently situated near major public transportation, it is only a 20-minute bike ride from down town Rotterdam, to the Erasmus University and even less to the Hogeschool Rotterdam/Codarts or the business centre of Rotterdam. The apartment is located in the upcoming Tarwewijk only 7min walk from metro Maashaven and 5min walk to busstation Zuidplein. You will get around very easily.

Second floor | You enter the apartment through the front door and must take the stairs to the second floor. The hall gives access to the hall way with huge wardrobe for the storage of coats and shoes. Furtermore the 1st toilet is located on the second floor as well as the laundry room and technical room. The scullery provides the ironing board, vacuum cleaner and cleaning utensils.

Private studio on the 4th floor | You will sleep in a light and spacious 20 m2 private bedroom with a king size bed (1.60 x 2.00), anti-allergy bedding, spacious cupboards and a wardrobe. This particular bedroom has the early morning sun which you can enjoy on the broad balcony. The hallway with private bathroom connects the bedroom with the livingroom. The living room has a large wardrobe/storage, an open kitchen with dining table for two, a couch near the open sliding doors to the roof top terrace. This private terrace has a hammock for relaxed moments in the late afternoon sun and enough space for an early breakfast outside.

Safety first |The apartment is equipped with all safety measures including a fire extinguisher, smoke detectors in every room and a fire blanket. And if someone rings the doorbell downstairs, you can ask via intercom who it is before you open the door.

Shops and entertainment | There are many local cafes, bakery, supermarkets, restaurants and a shopping mall within only 200 mtr of the apartment.

Terms
- The rent is all-inclusive prepayments for g/w/e + taxes + internet and bi-monthly cleaning service
- Registration at the municipality is possible for a sustainable household of two people (both students)
- A deposit of € 1300,-
- There is a one-time cleaning & laundry fee of €250 charged at the end of the rental period
- The studio is also suitable for a couple (sustainable household)
- No smoking, drugs, loud parties nor bicycle in the apartment
- No pets allowed

The basic rent includes the rent of the studio and common areas incl. use of ( domestic) equipment, furniture and furnishings, upkeep of the property, insurance, operating costs. Charges for internet, prepayments for energy ( gas / electricity ) & water, municipal taxes are included but based on an estimate normal use per person. Should you use, together with other tenants, more electricity, gas and/or water we will charge you the rest at the end of your renting period or we can agree on a monthly invoice based on the actual costs.

Service & maintenance | When you rent any of our apartments you will get a fully furnished and equipped place ready for move-in. We make sure that all you need to arrange are your belongings. The contracts and connections for internet, gas, water & electricity are all arranged by us. On your move-in date, rest assure everything will be working, clean and expect no hidden charges the day you are moving in. The apartment is privately owned and managed by a professional property manager. We will take care of everything for you and make you feel at home!

Financial requirements | We will do a (financial) credibility check on our tenants. Therefore we need (financial) information before we can rent the room to you, such as IDs, proof of registration at the university if you are a student.

What happens after I make a reservation?

Once you send a reservation request, the landlord is notified that you are interested in their offer. From that moment, they have 24 hours to approve or reject your reservation.
Landlords are mainly interested in the profile of their tenant. Do not forget to fill in all necessary information, add your profile picture, or even make a short video about yourself. Doing that will make you more attractive for the owner and your reservation will more likely get approved.

What is the standard furnishing of flats?

All the apartments on offer on HousingAnywhere must meet certain standards. We require fully furnished and equipped ones, dishes, cutlery and internet connection included.

What is a medium-term rent?

The duration of a medium-term rent is usually 1 to 12 months. Most of the landlords offer long-term rents or rents for just a few days, therefore getting a medium-term rent without HousingAnywhere is not that easy.

Can I go through the contract before I make a reservation of the housing?

You can take a look at the contract in advance and online with every offer. After you sign it, you will find it in the application My Housing.
While arranging a contract on HousingAnywhere, you do not have to worry that it could be disadvantageous for you. Our contracts are made so that we avoid all problems! All of them are the same, used by all the landlords on HousingAnywhere.

Can I see my chosen accommodation in person before I sign the lease agreement?

Your time is precious. That's why we've added a virtual tour option to our platform so you can see some of the rentals listed on HousingAnywhere from the comfort of your own home.
If a virtual tour isn't available for the accommodation you've chosen, you can contact the landlord and ask them if they're willing to give you a personal tour of the rental unit.
If you move in and find that the rented accommodation doesn't match the information on HousingAnywhere at the time the reservation request was sent to the landlord, you can withdraw from the lease agreement under certain circumstances explained in this article in our help center.
Also, under our "secure move-in" policy, we'll assist you with moving to an alternative accommodation if you report within a certain period of time that the rental unit doesn't match the ad and the landlord doesn't fix the problem immediately. You can read the details in our help center.

How can I pay?

On HousingAnywhere, you have a variety of payment methods to choose from. You can use your card, payment gateway or bank transfer. Just pick the one which suits you the most.

How can I cancel my reservation?

How you can cancel a reservation varies depending on what stage the reservation is in.
Is your reservation request still waiting for landlord approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your reservation request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the reservation before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the landlord accepts your reservation, their property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved reservation and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your reservation, contact HousingAnywhere customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
