Sunny sea view flat in Crete with a Superb 9.0 rating on Booking.com, 5.0 rating on Airbnb and 4.9 on Google , 4 minutes walk away from a beautiful beach and in short walking distance to a bakery, a cafe, bus stop, a supermarket, restaurants, pizzeria, hairdresser and gift shop. The flat can accommodate up to three people, is located on the first floor, is 36m2 and includes a bedroom, living room with beds and kitchenette, a bathroom and a furnished balcony with a unique view of the garden and the endless blue of the Cretan Sea.

The space is finely decorated and it consists of two air conditioning units, satellite TV, wardrobe with safety box, living room with two single beds that can be used as sofas + sofa bed, a kitchenette equipped with a small electric oven with 2 hotplates and fridge & freezer to meet your needs, a table with chairs that can be used as a working desk and for enjoying meals, a bedroom with a double bed and a vanity table with large mirror and chair, a bathroom with bath tub and shower, a balcony with table and chairs that can also be used as a working space and a clothes drying rack, shaded by a traditional pergola with excellent view of the gardens and the endless blue of the Cretan Sea. The apartment is spacious and is ideal for a couple or a couple with a child. There is free WiFi, smoking is allowed on the terrace and we are happy to let you know that we are pet friendly!

The apartment is a safe oasis of peace and tranquility and has free private parking, is serviced once a week for free, and breakfast can be booked separately starting at 5EUR per person from June 1st to October 15th. The bed sheets are changed once a week and towels twice a week free of charge. The washing machine on the property can be used free of charge once a week. Due to the high cost of electricity in Greece additional weekly uses come at the cost of 5EUR each. A printer and scanner are available also on the property free of charge. The property has a beautiful olive trees garden that can also be used as a working space as WiFi is available throughout the property, with playground, chairs and benches with tables, barbecue area and sunbeds and hammocks. Please note a government issued mandatory environment tax (like VAT) is being collected for all reservations per flat (not per person) per night, for the whole duration of the stay as follows: 0.5EUR/night from 1 November to 29 February, and 1.5EUR/night from 1 March to 31 October respectively, every year. This is not included in the displayed price of the booking and can be paid at the property during offboarding.

The property has a bakery around the corner, a cafe 2 minutes walk away that makes deliveries, a small supermarket with a wide range of available products 7 minutes walk away that also makes deliveries, a pizzeria that also delivers 10 minutes walk away, 2 tavernas (restaurants) one in each direction 5 minutes walk away where take-away is available, and one more restaurant 10 minutes walk away, near the pizzeria. There is also a butcher shop 2 minutes walk away, hairdresser and gift shop 5 minutes walk away, and a pharmacy 2.5Km away and a doctor's private practice at 2.7Km respectively. There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away that can take you into either direction to the nearest towns of Ierapetra (15-20 minutes by bus) and Makry Gialos (20-25 minutes respectively), but also to farther away destinations like the city of Agios Nikolaos and Sitia. If you do not wish to rent a car the owners are happy to drive you for weekly shopping to the nearest town of Ierapetra where a Lidl is available and other local supermarket options.

In collaboration with external partners, we would be happy to help you book transport to and from the airport, help you rent bikes, scooters and cars, and book trips for hiking, climbing, horseback riding, diving or water sports and cruises and speedboats and also book massages. A number of beautiful beaches are available in the area in addition to the nearby one, such as Agia Fotia 3km away, Galini 3,5km, Achlia 4,5km, and the beautiful large beach at Koutsounari 3,9km away. There is also the gorge with the waterfall “of Mylonas” 3,4km away.

You can also visit in the area: the Archaeological Museum of Ierapetra 12,7km away, the Venetian Fortress of Ierapetra 13,2km, the Ottoman Fountain and Mosque 13,7km, the artificial lake of Bramiana 18,4km and the beach of Myrtos 27,7km away located west, towards Ierapetra. Respectively, located east you will find, the gorge of Achlia 5,0km away, the gorge of Orino 9,8km, the beach of Makry Gialos 14,3km, the beach of Lagoufa 16,1km, the beach of Diaskari 16,1km, the beach Spilia tou Drakou – Cave of the Dragon 19,5km, the Pefki gorge 20,1km, the beach Staousa 20,9km, and the Kapsa monastery and the Perivolakia gorge 23,2km away. Finally, you can visit the stone-built with unique Cretan architecture the villages of Anatoli 29,8km away, Agios Ioannis 19,8km and Orino 17,2km away, and enjoy the unique view of the endless blue offered by the South Cretan Sea and the temperate climate offered by the mountains of Crete.

Neighborly (14-days)

You can cancel the reservation for free within 14 days before moving.

Backup accommodation

If you cancel your reservation 14 days or more before the move-in date, you’ll get a refund of the entire first rent. If you cancel your reservation up to 7 days before the move-in date, you’ll get a refund of half of the first rent. If you cancel your reservation less than 6 days before the move-in date, you won’t get a refund of the first rent.

What happens after I make a reservation?

Once you send a reservation request, the landlord is notified that you are interested in their offer. From that moment, they have 24 hours to approve or reject your reservation.
Landlords are mainly interested in the profile of their tenant. Do not forget to fill in all necessary information, add your profile picture, or even make a short video about yourself. Doing that will make you more attractive for the owner and your reservation will more likely get approved.

What is the standard furnishing of flats?

All the apartments on offer on Flatio must meet certain standards. We require fully furnished and equipped ones, dishes, cutlery and internet connection included.

What is a medium-term rent?

The duration of a medium-term rent is usually 1 to 12 months. Most of the landlords offer long-term rents or rents for just a few days, therefore getting a medium-term rent without Flatio is not that easy.

Can I go through the contract before I make a reservation of the housing?

You can take a look at the contract in advance and online with every offer. After you sign it, you will find it in the application My Housing.
While arranging a contract on Flatio, you do not have to worry that it could be disadvantageous for you. Our contracts are made so that we avoid all problems! All of them are the same, used by all the landlords on Flatio.

Can I see my chosen accommodation in person before I sign the lease agreement?

Your time is precious. That's why we've added a virtual tour option to our platform so you can see some of the rentals listed on Flatio from the comfort of your own home.
If a virtual tour isn't available for the accommodation you've chosen, you can contact the landlord and ask them if they're willing to give you a personal tour of the rental unit.
If you move in and find that the rented accommodation doesn't match the information on Flatio at the time the reservation request was sent to the landlord, you can withdraw from the lease agreement under certain circumstances explained in this article in our help center.
Also, under our "secure move-in" policy, we'll assist you with moving to an alternative accommodation if you report within a certain period of time that the rental unit doesn't match the ad and the landlord doesn't fix the problem immediately. You can read the details in our help center.

How can I pay?

On Flatio, you have a variety of payment methods to choose from. You can use your card, payment gateway or bank transfer. Just pick the one which suits you the most.

How can I cancel my reservation?

How you can cancel a reservation varies depending on what stage the reservation is in.
Is your reservation request still waiting for landlord approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your reservation request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the reservation before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the landlord accepts your reservation, their property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved reservation and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your reservation, contact Flatio customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
