The apartment features custom-made furniture: the crisp white furnishings blend beautifully with the bleached oak parquet flooring and the antique wood ceiling finishes. The resulting atmosphere is a pleasant blend of old and new, made even warmer and more welcoming by the courtyard trees, which overlook the windows and terrace. The finishes are top-notch and include air conditioning (split in the bedroom and living room), independent heating with thermostat, and double-glazed windows for excellent acoustic and thermal insulation. The furnishings are meticulously crafted to welcome guests in a space equipped with every comfort.
The entrance is on the ground floor and opens onto a staircase of about twenty steps leading to the apartment's living room. From here, you immediately notice the entertainment area, consisting of a double sofa bed (130 cm x 200 cm) facing the 43" Smart TV, which extends to the picturesque terrace, furnished with a sofa and two armchairs. The spacious open-plan kitchen, featuring a large island table that extends around the staircase, is fully equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine, and dishwasher.
The double bed (160 cm x 200 cm) in the master bedroom overlooks the internal courtyard garden, and there is a large 4-door wardrobe for storing your belongings.

Area:
The apartment is located in the heart of the medieval old town, inside a characteristic building in the center of Bologna. It is located immediately behind the iconic Asinelli and Garisenda towers, and is also just steps from the city's main square, Piazza Maggiore, surrounded by the city's most important buildings. The oldest is Palazzo Podestà, which dates back to 1200 and is topped by the Torre dell'Arengo.
Opposite Palazzo dei Banchi is Palazzo d'Accursio, a monumental architectural complex dating back to the 14th century, currently the seat of the Municipality of Bologna. The far side of the square is graced by the Basilica of San Petronio, an example of Italian Gothic architecture, begun in the late 14th century but never completed. Palazzo Banchi marks the beginning of the city's most famous portico, the Pavaglione, which connects Piazza Maggiore to the Archiginnasio Palace, the first seat of the University of Bologna, the oldest in the world. Today, the University is less than a five-minute walk from the apartment, on Via Zamboni, halfway down which stands the Teatro Comunale, famous for its busy opera season.
Among the city's most noteworthy monuments surrounding the apartment, the most famous are Piazza Santo Stefano (with its magnificent seven churches built one above the other and the splendid Corte Isolani) and the Portico del Pavaglione, which forms one side of the so-called Quadrilatero dell'Emiliana food and wine district; this maze of pedestrian streets offers all the region's delicacies (cured meats, fresh pasta, wine) and fresh local produce (meat, fish, vegetables). A true sanctuary for food lovers.
Finally, shopping enthusiasts can indulge in shopping along bustling Via Indipendenza, in the designer stores of Galleria Cavour, or in the refined boutiques of Via Farini or Via d'Azeglio. A convenient minimarket is located just below the apartment, as well as an ice cream shop and numerous restaurants and bars dotted throughout the neighborhood.
Public transportation:
The location is highly strategic thanks to its proximity to Via dell'Indipendenza, with buses connecting to the Fair and the train station (about a 15-minute walk).
Parking:
The apartment is located within the limited traffic zone (ZTL). On holidays, the T downtown area is pedestrianized. Parking is available outside the restricted traffic zone, in the Piazza VIII Agosto, a 10-minute walk from the apartment. A monthly pass is available for approximately €250 per month, with 24-hour access. Daily rate is €24 per 24 hours.
Information on driving in Bologna city center:
For stays lasting several months (3 months or more), it is possible to request a permit to enter the historic center.
For guests staying for a short period, the City allows car entry into the city center for only 3 days per month. Access is guaranteed with a ticket (€6).
Please note that Via Caldarese is a very narrow alley with no available parking spaces. Even with an entry and parking ticket, you will still need to find parking on the adjacent Via San Vitale or Strada Maggiore.

Frequently asked questions for this offer
What happens after I make a reservation?
Once you send a reservation request, the landlord is notified that you are interested in their offer. From that moment, they have 24 hours to approve or reject your reservation.
Landlords are mainly interested in the profile of their tenant. Do not forget to fill in all necessary information, add your profile picture, or even make a short video about yourself. Doing that will make you more attractive for the owner and your reservation will more likely get approved.
What is the standard furnishing of flats?
All the apartments on offer on HousingAnywhere must meet certain standards. We require fully furnished and equipped ones, dishes, cutlery and internet connection included.
What is a medium-term rent?
The duration of a medium-term rent is usually 1 to 12 months. Most of the landlords offer long-term rents or rents for just a few days, therefore getting a medium-term rent without HousingAnywhere is not that easy.
Can I go through the contract before I make a reservation of the housing?
You can take a look at the contract in advance and online with every offer. After you sign it, you will find it in the application My Housing.
While arranging a contract on HousingAnywhere, you do not have to worry that it could be disadvantageous for you. Our contracts are made so that we avoid all problems! All of them are the same, used by all the landlords on HousingAnywhere.
Can I see my chosen accommodation in person before I sign the lease agreement?
Your time is precious. That's why we've added a virtual tour option to our platform so you can see some of the rentals listed on HousingAnywhere from the comfort of your own home.
If a virtual tour isn't available for the accommodation you've chosen, you can contact the landlord and ask them if they're willing to give you a personal tour of the rental unit.
If you move in and find that the rented accommodation doesn't match the information on HousingAnywhere at the time the reservation request was sent to the landlord, you can withdraw from the lease agreement under certain circumstances explained in this article in our help center.
Also, under our "secure move-in" policy, we'll assist you with moving to an alternative accommodation if you report within a certain period of time that the rental unit doesn't match the ad and the landlord doesn't fix the problem immediately. You can read the details in our help center.
How can I pay?
On HousingAnywhere, you have a variety of payment methods to choose from. You can use your card, payment gateway or bank transfer. Just pick the one which suits you the most.
How can I cancel my reservation?
How you can cancel a reservation varies depending on what stage the reservation is in.
Is your reservation request still waiting for landlord approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your reservation request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the reservation before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the landlord accepts your reservation, their property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
Do you have an approved reservation and also a valid agreement? In order to cancel your reservation, contact HousingAnywhere customer support well in advance of your contract beginning (the specific time and amount of refund depends on the type of cancelation policy).
