Im Karmeliterviertel bieten zahlreiche Lokale Wiener und internationale Spezialitäten. Jüdische Lokale, Supermärkte und Synagogen zeugen von der (wieder)erstarkenden jüdischen Community. Das Herzstück des Viertels - der Karmelitermarkt - ist immer einen Besuch wert, vor allem aber Samstag vormittags, wenn zusätzlich zu den fixen Standln der Wochenmarkt für Trubel sorgt.
