Charming apartment of about 130 sqm, located in a historic building in the heart of Bologna, a short walk from the University of Bologna and Piazza Santo Stefano, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy.

Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and are provided with bed linens and towels. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting at the apartment to explain how everything works and to hand over the keys. During your stay, our staff is available to address any requests or concerns.

The first architectural element to catch the eye of the guests is the magnificent walnut double door, with carved lintel, which grants access to the apartment. The entrance leads directly into the beautiful dining room, whose walls are decorated with old wood panelling in solid walnut or finished, like the rest of the apartment, with Venetian plaster in shades of cream. The resulting combination creates an extremely warm and welcoming atmosphere, a place to relax or work in peace.

The dining room is undoubtedly dominated by a magnificent table from the 19th century, engraved with floral motives and able to accommodate up to 6 people. The rich golden mirrors on the walls, made with the ancient technique of mercury, are in the typical liberty style, while the large chest of drawers behind the table dates back to the 17th century. The bookcase placed in front of the table contains a flat-screen TV 52" (with 3D glasses provided) and the control centre of the audio system of the apartment (AUX cable connection), which is equipped with amplifiers in each room. The spectacular swivel design lamp can be used to shed light both on the table and in the living room.

The real living area lies behind the dining room and consists of a valuable sofa Roche Bobois (it converts into a comfortable double bed 200 x 160 cm). Next to it you can find a wonderful Florentine “trumeau” dated 1715, which proposes a mix of past and future that characterizes the whole property. Right next to this relaxation corner, there is the impressive kitchen.

It is a wonderful kitchen designed by Archeo, fully equipped and provided with every tool, including a Nespresso coffee machine. The cooking area that stands out since it is made of a composite smooth white material, is longer than 3.5 meter and it allows you to indulge in the preparation of many different recipes. This kitchen is a real must for fans of the kitchen who visit the capital of Emilia.

Access to the sleeping area is granted by a corridor leading to the rooms. The apartment has two bedrooms. The guest room is furnished with two single beds (which can be joined to form a double bed) and a custom-made walk-in closet.

In the master bedroom, in front of the double bed, finished in white leather, there is an impressive wardrobe from the 17th century in Piedmont style. It is a real work of art, which belonged to a noble family and made according to the style of the fashions of the time. In particular, the brass handcrafted hinges also reflect the quality of craftsmanship made in Italy today.

The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom furnished with Murano chandeliers and handmade pottery by Etruria. Also the second bathroom has the same finishings and, like the first, has a large shower.

The apartment is suitable for people who want to pamper themselves with every comfort. The finishings are top level, as the brand new wooden anti-noise and anti-thermal shutters, or (hidden) of the floors, made of Carrara marble, or even the presence of very silent air conditioning splits in every room.

The rental price includes the initial and the final cleaning, the rent, Italian taxes (television and garbage) and doesn't cover the condominium expenses (€ 100 per month), WiFi internet (€ 40 per month) and bills (electricity, gas and water). Regarding the bills, a forfait of € 150 will be paid monthly. Only if you exceed this forfait, you would have to pay the difference. No refunds will be due if the total bill is less than the monthly forfait. If your stay includes some days of the subsequent month, the forfait for the bills will be calculated pro rata.

Area:
The apartment is located in the heart of the historical center of Bologna, between Strada Maggiore and Via Santo Stefano. The position of the property is highly strategic, in order to visit the architectonical and artistic beauties of the city center, and it is located at a few minutes from the Giardini Margherita, the largest green area of the center.

In the vicinity there are all kind of shops, pharmacies and banks; along Via Santo Stefano there are numerous bars, typical restaurants and trattorias.

Public transportation:
Since the apartment lies in the centre of Bologna, the area is well served by public transport. Along Via Santo Stefano and Via Rizzoli you can take buses to reach the fair, hospitals and the train station.

Parking:
The apartment is within the restricted traffic area (ZTL) and an access ticket is requested. You may park in the street, on the places indicated with blue stripes, free of charge on Sundays and every night from 20:00 to 8:00; and upon payment (red parking meter) during the day.
Another option is the private garage "Farini" (Vicolo San Damiano 3/3a). Here you may also fill a form to get access to the restricted traffic area.

Important: guests are required to pay a tourist tax that is not included in the price. € 4 to € 7 person, per night. It is applied only to the first 5 nights.

Once you send a reservation request, the landlord is notified that you are interested in their offer. From that moment, they have 24 hours to approve or reject your reservation.

What is the standard furnishing of flats?

All the apartments on offer on HousingAnywhere must meet certain standards. We require fully furnished and equipped ones, dishes, cutlery and internet connection included.

What is a medium-term rent?

The duration of a medium-term rent is usually 1 to 12 months. Most of the landlords offer long-term rents or rents for just a few days, therefore getting a medium-term rent without HousingAnywhere is not that easy.

Can I go through the contract before I make a reservation of the housing?

You can take a look at the contract in advance and online with every offer. After you sign it, you will find it in the application My Housing.
While arranging a contract on HousingAnywhere, you do not have to worry that it could be disadvantageous for you. Our contracts are made so that we avoid all problems! All of them are the same, used by all the landlords on HousingAnywhere.

Can I see my chosen accommodation in person before I sign the lease agreement?

Your time is precious. That's why we've added a virtual tour option to our platform so you can see some of the rentals listed on HousingAnywhere from the comfort of your own home.
If a virtual tour isn't available for the accommodation you've chosen, you can contact the landlord and ask them if they're willing to give you a personal tour of the rental unit.
If you move in and find that the rented accommodation doesn't match the information on HousingAnywhere at the time the reservation request was sent to the landlord, you can withdraw from the lease agreement under certain circumstances explained in this article in our help center.
Also, under our "secure move-in" policy, we'll assist you with moving to an alternative accommodation if you report within a certain period of time that the rental unit doesn't match the ad and the landlord doesn't fix the problem immediately. You can read the details in our help center.

How can I pay?

How can I cancel my reservation?

How you can cancel a reservation varies depending on what stage the reservation is in.
Is your reservation request still waiting for landlord approval? Then you can simply cancel it directly from your My Housing web app!
However, suppose the owner has already approved your reservation request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the reservation before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the landlord accepts your reservation, their property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
