SUMMARY
Agile Defense is seeking a System Administrator to support the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) military pay and personnel operations. On this project, you will provide O&M and sustainment of production systems for the Regional Level Application Software (RLAS)  application and the Pay Management Division (PMD) data environment.
In this role, you will be the primary system administrator supporting the production server environment with maintenance and security efforts (e.g., STIGs, patching, etc.). Additionally, this role may serve as the scrum master working with a development team supporting RLAS modernization and enhancement by providing support in managing the software development tasks and sprint schedules.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·       Provide recommendations on design and analytic approaches to customers, then implement their requirements into new solution specifications and content.
·       Manage multiple complex tasks, often with tight deadlines, and proactively collaborate with a variety of subject matter experts.
·       Perform Windows OS Server, IIS, and other applicable STIGs as required for DoD network compliance.
·       Perform processing of daily ad hoc queries as requested and as required.
·       Support audits and inspections to include cybersecurity compliance and readiness (e.g. CCRI) and business requirements.
·       Maintain production and COOP RLAS server instances to include system updates, patches, and ongoing maintenance.
·       Maintain the business intelligence module and ensure it is accessible to all RLAS users and that it remains viable as technology changes.
·       Support Tier 3 and 4 Help Desk with responding to issues, and other duties to support the team as needed.
·       Serve as the Scrum Master supporting software development sprints and managing associated tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
·       DoDI 8570 IAT II Certification (e.g. Security+ CE) upon starting.
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Management Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).
·       3-5 years of experience in business and/or information technology field
·       3 years of MS Windows 2016 (or newer) Server administration.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
·       Must be familiar with performing DISA STIGs
·       Experience building, troubleshooting, configuring and installing Windows server instances.
·       Experience working with developers and database engineers to identify and resolve issues/errors in a timely manner.
·       Familiar with Agile Scrum principals, and demonstrate the ability to track work, lead team meetings, and directly interact with stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
·       Solid Familiarity with TFS, JIRA, Sharepoint, or other tracking and collaboration tools.
·       Ability to design and create user interfaces, design and create customer products, automate work flows, assess data quality, create and validate business logic, and obtain, translate, and address customer requirements for solutions that use Microsoft SQL Server and Visual Studio.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
·       Remote support (e.g. work from home) available 100% of the time with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Periodic visits to nearest USARC facility may be required for GFE system updates / maintenance. Each week we have a maintenance window to do server restarts after hours and should only take 10% of the time (schedule flexibility and/or comp time to account for maintenance windows).
Strength Demands
·       Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles.  Some occasional walking or standing may be required.   Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
